During National Breast Cancer Month bike riders from over will come together at Fairwood Park, Bowie, Maryland for the Indoor Cycle-A-Thon and ride in solidarity for 3 very important elements in the fight against breast cancer – driving awareness that leads to proactive self care, exercising to build a healthier stronger body and raising fund to support the under privileged that are going through this disease. As always 100% of the net proceeds support the Images program at WHC breast cancer center a non-profit organization.
The Madra Cochrane Foundation and 24 Hour Fitness sponsors this ride. The Madra Cochrane Foundation raises money that goes to the Images Program of the Medstar Washington Cancer Institute, 100% of the net proceeds go to help someone in need and provides much needed fund for the Image program. Washington, D.C. has the highest incidence rate of invasive breast cancer in the United States: 126 women per 100,000.
The image program at WHC provides a much need service to these women. Funds raised will help support this program and further research and other programs.
